Reisa river has established itself as one of Norway's best rivers in the chance of getting a large Atlantic Salmon. Our statistics show that the average weight of all salmon caught in 2010 was 14,4 pounds or 6.54 kg. By comparison, the average weight of salmon in Alta River was 5.47 kg in 2010.

Half of all salmon caught in 2010 weighed 15,4 pounds/7 kg or more

Our catch statistics shows that about 47% of all caught salmon weighed more than 15,4 pound or 7 kg. 436 salmon caught in 2010 was 22 pound/10 kg or more, and 64 salmon was 33 pound/15 kg or more. The tenth largest salmon weighed 41,9 pound/19 kg, and the largest salmon weighed more than 50,7 pound/23 kg. The average weight of the 10 largest salmon was about 46,3 pound/21 kg. This year's catch show that the Reisa River is a world class river in terms of average weight of Atlantic salmon.
